Up to now, a handful of companies have been producing oval rings, usually in the form of Solid rings. The Oval shape, keeps the knot resting away from the opening of the ring, avoiding friction and wearing out. In addition, the Owner Oval Split Ring is precisely shaped to prevent knot slide and provide a direct angle of pull.
The Oval shaped rings, are believed to improve the performance of lures, as their shape prevents the knots from slipping. Owner is the first company to develop the Oval Split Ring, in the Pro Parts series.
The special Oval shape Split rings, prevent the line from breaking, due to excessive friction. This particular shape, keeps the ring in place and prevents it from spinning round the lures ring. Being a Split Ring, you can attach it directly to the lure, without the need to also use a solid ring.
The Owner Pro Parts Oval Split Rings are made of stainless steel, in black with chrome finish.
