Marukyu Shio ori Salt

Description

The Marukyu Shio Nori, is a specialized compound salt, which has been designed in collaboration with French fishermen, for use in the Mediterranean, targeting species such as the White Seabream or the Gilthead Seabream.

The Shio Nori is used for marinating live worms or fresh baits. Sprinkle it on peeled meat of shellfish, squid innards, fish fillets, or live worms, the bait will hold together. It is an adjusting additive that gives baits increased firmness and stability on the hook. On top of this, the added seaweed extracts and its smell will attract fish and stimulate their appetite.

The technology used by Marukyu has now reached a level where, depending on the type and quality of the fresh bait, it can regenerate it, enhance its taste, smell, hardness and enrich it with nutrients that every fish looks for. Marukyu is continuing to pioneer the use of pheromone formulas in a range of baits, that are being released into the market.

Marukyu in collaboration with CEFAS has developed the Ultrabite , a pheromone based fish attractant for sport fishing, that works directly on the fish’s instinct. The problem they tried to resolve was the consumption of uneaten food leaking from aquaculture, into surrounding sea beds. When the pheromone was given to the fish, they became more active and this created a reduction in the amount of food remains.

Ultrabite uses the CEFAS produced pheromones, as the basis in an attempt to increase the efficiency of fish attractants, used in fishing and Ultrabite is the combination of these pheromones and other fish attractants, used in sports fishing.

Until now the fishes’ five senses smell, sound, taste, sight and touch have been used to attract fish, however the Ultrabite works directly on the fish’s instinct at a physiological level to attract and then stimulate the hunger instinct. Moreover, research has shown the fish do not become addicted to Ultrabite.

The formula is also environmentally friendly, with the pheromones breaking down after twelve hours, therefore there is no fear of any residual effects on the environment.
