Description
The Sawara Casting Game has been a popular fishing style in Japan. Sawara combines two different aspects of fishing, specifically Offshore Casting and Jigging.
The fishing outcome from using a Sawara rod can vary, depending on the species you are after and the way you are fishing. The Giant Killing Sawara enables the angler to cast from the boat, reach long distances and search a wide area for migratory, Pelagic species.
The Giant Killing 1G Sawara rod has been built with a blank that casts jigs, but can them retrieve them vertically with Jigging, or Heavy Spinning lures, that can then be retrieved with various styles such as Walk the Dog, or let them sink first.
The blank of the Giant Killing Sawara is sturdy and produces no unwanted vibrations, hence the line flows through the guides, resulting in a comfortable casting feeling. The Giant Killing 1G Sawara produces a low-response action, with a medium-elasticity, intermediate modulus carbon construction, as the main characteristics that reduce the burden on the angler. In addition, it suppresses unnecessary movements, making it possible to control the jig even after long hours of jigging. Major Craft has developed the Giant Killing 1G Sawara for those anglers who find this fishing style tiring, but want to experience the intensity of fishing big predators. Beginners in Boat Casting have found the Major Craft rod to test the water.
The GK1C-702M/SWR is the recommended rod for casting a 40g jigs from the boat. This model was developed to cast in areas up to 20m deep and quickly search for predators by reeling it in from the bottom. It has a flexible blank that reliably hooks the fish and has the power to withstand a strong fight. The 7ft length allows for stress-free casting.
The GK1C-702MH/SWR rod, is good at targeting larger fish using a jig up to 60g. It can cast the jig firmly in areas over 20m deep and retrieve it at high speed. This model is indispensable, especially in areas where Barracudas, Seabass and Bluefish are present. The 7ft length allows for stress-free casting from the boat.
Both rods have Regular Fast action and are mounted with a Spinning reel.
Blank design – Medium elastic carbon is being used, reducing tension and emphasizing torque in a low-response design blank.
Guide concept – Uses Fuji Kogyo K guide frame. Major Craft original setting that emphasizes operability and strength to match the blank’s action.
Grip design – Adopts a grip shape that is easy to hold for any user. A balanced grip design that reduces fatigue even during long fishing trips.
