The Okuma Cavalla 2-Speed Lever Drag reels are a compact bodied machine built to handle the toughest of conditions. The one piece frame and one side plate are built with 6061-T6 machined aluminum. The rigid, one piece frame, continues around to the non-handle, side plate. This rigid frame combined with a cold forged, type-II, anodized machined aluminum spool, give you a sleek and rugged weapon. Corrosion will be the last of your worries, if you forget to rinse your reel, as all internal gears are made of stainless steel.
The Cavalla reels feature a battle proven carbonite drag system, with very low start up inertia, that puts out 24 to 34 pounds of drag at full. You will feel the very smooth, gradually progressive drag, as you move the lever from no drag to strike.
The 17.4 grade stainless steel main and pinion gear as well as the Corrosion Resistance Coating process make this reel virtually corrosion resistant. Add to that 4 corrosion resistant, high performance, stainless steel bearings and a silent retrieve system for complete smooth operation.
Another breakthrough in the Okuma Cavalla is the completely silent, very long handle and the further support of its rotation by a spur gear, which reduces cranking resistance by 50%. This reel is compact and comfortable, and feature an Ergo Grip handle knob and anodized aluminum handle arm.
The Okuma Cavalla 2-speed reels feature a 6.4:1 and 3.8:1 gear ratio on the 5 size reels.
Comes in left hand retrieve and features an on/off bait clicker.

Okuma Cavalla Single-Speed Lever Drag Reels are packed with technology at an affordable price. Okuma has taken all they have learned with their popular and highly rated Metaloid reels and turned out a series of small lever drag reels, that are a modern angler’s dream.
Cavalla’s powerful foundation begins with a one-piece 6061-T6 machined aluminum frame with integral left side plate for maximum strength and rigidity. Like Metaloid, Cavalla’s Type-II anodized aluminum spool maximizes line capacity within its compact frame. And like both Andros and Makaira, Cavalla is driven by 17-4 grade stainless steel helical cut gears for absolute confidence under maximum load.
The Okuma Cavalla reels are equipped with big drag, lightweight, and an extremely comfortable, rubberized, ergonomic handle that will help you crank in big fish. Ergo Grip handle knob is an extremely comfortable oversized handle-knob design for both speed and power. This soft-touch knob has been ergonomically designed to fit in the palm of your hand and will be found on certain Okuma lever drag reels, star drag reels and some spinning reel models.
Okuma’s all-new «Carbonite» drag system features a newly-developed carbon-based drag material which displaces heat and friction consistently and steadily even under the harshest of fishing conditions. Used in conjunction with a small amount of specially-formulated Okuma drag grease, the Carbonite drag system allows for a much wider and smoother drag range, all while maintaining exceptional performance and pure fish-stopping power.
Okuma’s Machined Aluminum Frame construction incorporates a one-piece fully-machined aluminum frame. These rigid bar-stock aluminum frames are the ultimate in precision alignment and tolerances withstanding more pressure and torque than any other material used in our industry for frame materials. Okuma features these anodized frames on fly reels, baitcast reels, lever drag reels and star drag trolling reels.
